Mama said there'd be days like this...

Well, it's 9:39 a.m. and I am wondering if it's bedtime yet! I just returned from dropping our 4-year old princess off at VBS. In the ten minutes I spent there, I managed to hit someone's truck in the parking lot, step in some mysterious white chunky goop that was in the parking lot (wearing flip-flops, of course), and run into a friend who just lost her sweet dog and is very upset. Oh, and today I decided to carry the babies in via carrier instead of plopping the carriers into the double stroller to roll them in. Do NOT ask me why. It was a moment where the synapses in my brain were not functioning fast enough. So after about 20 steps, I was literally winded and had no extra hands to push all my crazy "yesterday's hair" out of my eyes so I could even see where I was walking. I looked like a crazy woman. To put more salt in the wound, I stopped when we finally reached the curb of the parking lot to take a rest...sounds like I'm out of shape, huh? (I am.) While hyperventilating there, I noticed a tall, young, tan lady with beautifully groomed long brown hair and wearing a cute little sundress with heels. I thought to myself, "Oh, how sweet! A college student that has volunteered to help out with VBS and she doesn't even have children of her own yet." Wrong-o! When I walked past her, she said, "Oh, that's my life too! I have baby twins also!"
Yes, of course she does...what was I thinking?
So, now I'm back at the house to get rid of this "yesterday hair" and eat the leftover stir fry even if it is 10:00 in the morning.
I will have a good day...I will have a good day...I will have a good day!
=)

Oh my - you are certainly having one of THOSE days! I can't imagine doing what you do with a four year old and twin babies! I think you are doing an incredible job. Maybe Miss Sundress has a nanny and doesn't do the job all herself.

You did have some bumps in your road today! Glad game... you can be glad you have such healthy heavy twins, that you have such nice thick hair that falls into your face, that you have delicious leftovers to eat, and that tomorrow is a new day.

When it rains, it pours, huh? I almost got weak thinking about the white chunky goo - I have a real problem with unknown substances! I hope things improved dramatically this afternoon!

Oh No! Not a good way to start the day! So, you hit a truck? Was there much damage? Hitting a truck and stepping in unknown white chunky goo is a real toss up! ACK! Hope the rest of your day went better ~ otherwise, crawl in bed and pull the covers up over your head! LOL!

He still has his trach so he can't talk but his eyes are so full of expression. It really brought tears to my eyes. I love that show too! I tivo it so it's always a surprise when I see it on the list of recorded shows.
